As Vice President of Project Management and Delivery, Howard Hartenstein manages the coordination of design and engineering, oversees project management and scheduling, and supports marketing and general operations functions. 

 

Having over 25 years of experience in broad areas of architecture & engineering, construction, and real estate management, Mr. Hartenstein is an insightful, analytical and strategic problem-solver with a record of innovation, creativity, and leadership. He has worked in a variety of market sectors including education, technology infrastructure, multi-site retail, fuels, banking, hospitality, alternative energy, healthcare, high rise commercial, nursing, and senior living, hospitality, industrial, municipal, and residential. He has immersed himself in finding solutions to the problems of building high-quality homes that are competitively priced and environmentally relevant. 

 

Mr. Hartenstein brings exceptional experience in starting new design and construction businesses from the ground up. He has been a part of the Smarter Living journey from the beginning. He is a LEED accredited licensed architect and member of A.I.A. He received a BA in Economics and Environmental Studies from Lawrence University in Appleton, WI, in addition to a Masters in Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
